Artist Statement / Description
Love Is Now explores the immediacy of human connection and the sacredness of presence. Through layered textures, expressive movement, and radiant tones, Joshua Love creates a visual meditation on what it means to fully experience love beyond memory, fear, or projection. The piece blends abstraction with emotional storytelling, inviting viewers to slow down and reconnect with themselves and one another in the present moment.
The composition features bursts of warm reds, deep earth tones, and luminous gold elements that symbolize divine energy, intimacy, and transformation. Organic brushstrokes and fragmented markings represent the chaos of modern life, while the centered flow of light throughout the painting reflects grounding, awareness, and emotional clarity. Inspired by themes of spirituality, Black identity, romance, and consciousness, the work acts as both a mirror and an affirmation.
